Low mill horsforth

Post by The Parksider »

The foundations remain for this mill alongside the beck.

Above the beck are four concrete "baths" which are close to the railway line such as one can see them in passing.

The mill produced paper and later steel pins and later gramophone needles. After that dyeing rayon linings for suits and waistcoats.

I once read a comment as to what these stand alone baths up near the railway line were for but I've forgotten. Age you know!!

Anyone know?
