when i was a young lad must have been 3 or 4.my mum took me to leeds to see batman /robin ect.i can remember seeing the parade down the headrow.ive looked eveywhere on the net but cannot find anything about it, anyone help?

I don't remember the parade, but 1966 is about when the Batman film (based on the original TV series) was released. I went to see it at The Pavilion with my cousin. It was shown with a feature length Flintstones cartoon, I seem to remember. Perhaps the parade was something promotional to do with the film? Kerpow!!!

must have been somthing to do with the film,loads of people were there

LOL Ha you sound like are kid.............he always mentions mi mam taking him to go see Batman and Robin and that great car to the 'parade' down the Headrow.Are kd is 44/45 now,Im a couple of years younger but I will ask him if there is anything he remembers.

Just spoke to are kid and he reckons it was 1969 as he seems to think it was a promotional day for the Odeon cinema, as they had just done a refurb and converted it to a twin cinema. Hope this helps.

thanks,suppose it could have been later than 1966,would be great to see a press cutting,or pic of that day.it was a big avent in its day.
