I like that one hyperion
. It looks like it was very hard to spot so well done to see it.
PS. Old-looking walls like that one always interest me.

2 Bench Marks for the price of one!
This pair of stone pillars are at the junction of Eccup Lane and High Weardley Lane, not far from Weardley, Leeds. I took the photos on February 29 2016 (Leap Year Day). I already knew of both pillars and that the one with the directions/mileages had a Bench Mark (BM) but If I did know of the more eroded BM on the other pillar I had forgotten it and I nearly did not spot it. The first photo shows the 2 pillars, the second is the side of the pillar with the directions/mileages and the BM, the third is a close-up of the more eroded BM on the rough pillar that did not seem to have directions.

It's not a Bench Mark so I hope it is not minded that I include this photo of a stone pillar in the thread, which I have posted as this pillar is close to the pair noted in my post above so it will complete the pillars there. I took this photo on February 29 2016 (Leap Year Day).

Having a meander around on March 8 2016 I happened to go to Riverside Court (off The Calls) and spotted this Bench Mark (BM). The BM is very well defined so I wonder if it has been carved recentlyish. The first photo shows the BM and the Aire and Calder Navigation Blue Plaque. The second photo is a close-up of the Blue Plaque, which I thought may be of interest even though it is not a BM.

PS. In view of liits post on Wed Feb 24, 2016 11:57 pm I went to see that BM on March 8. It's a difficult BM to spot and it took me a while to see it. I would probably have never seen it without knowing it was there, so thanks to liits for posting that
.
