Slightly different sign but one of my favourites that still exists for a place its out lived is on the side of the Viaduct adjacent to the bus station over the A61How long has the Brewery Warfe attraction been closed now ? Edit - can't seem to link the GSV picture - sorry

Love threads like this. This is what truly interests me about the history of Leeds, random non-existing streets and awesome still standing old buildings. One day I'll actually go out and take some photos for myself...
Young 'uns that have no interest in the history of the place they grew up in....disgraceful.

A lone sign on the derelict former Springhill TavernHere viewed from above Buslingthorpe RdAnd here centre-right in mid 1950's before slum clearance.Buslingthorpe Vale no longer exists. A rough path is just passable down to the old stone bridge over the beck into Buslingthorpe Green (closed off put passable).Just above it was another 'road' cut into the hill "Stonegate" - this shows on google but isnt there http://goo.gl/maps/Yv1Xs

Queen Victoria Street. This 'street' still exists but it would be hard to drive a car along it! I took the photo today (Jan 28 2013) just inside the Vicar Lane access/egress of the Victoria Quarter.

Good shot LeoI'd forgotten about that. I recall sitting eating a cornish on Queen Vic Street pre-roof.Sutcliffes Sports Shop, a Music Shop, a rather good Pork Butchers or two and Virgin Records. Late 70's.
