there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Stevie - I scoured the Rising Sun tonight - but although there are some interesting etched windows and a very good mosaic floor (which I'll post on the signs of old Leodis thread) I couldn't find any trace of melbourne - are you sure there's anything there?

A close up of the sign outside the Templar - sadly this seems to be the only evidence of Melbourne at the Templar - no courtier windows.

Mosaic floor at the Cranmer Bank. This is in a different style to the wall-mounted courtier mosaics at the Fforde Grene and the Golden Fleece (which are almost identical).Note how the person who made it has used special smaller tiles to pick out the 2 rolls of hair on the side of the wig.An amazing piece of craftsmanship.[Subsequently destroyed]

Another shot of the Cranmer Bank Courtier - I've included this as you can get some idea of the scale by the base of the doors at the top of the picture. - it's about a 3 foot diameter.I believe the Shaftesbury on York Road has a mosaic floor like this- but frustratingly I can't seem to get access at the moment as its closed - hopefully only temporarily[Subsequently destroyed]

The Old golden Fleece at Churwell again - I overlooked these at first - they're hard to spot and even harder to photo! They are 'silhouette' courtiers etched on glass( perhaps they were once painted I wonder??? I suspect probably not)). there are 3 in total, presumably originally 4.
