Great stuff Arry Awk just shows what tricks your mind can play i dont know were my verse came from.Could i be going round the twist?

Thanks indeed Chrism - regrettably its such a poor original picture that, for those not remembering the clock, I'll just add :-The word "Guinness" (a neon sign I believe ??) occupies the entire width of the top of the feature, the final "S" being above the left roof dome of the tram. The actual clock is the black circle showing approximately ten to six in the picture. I must admit that, even though I remember the feature very well, I had forgotten just how huge it was.I'm sure a better picture will turn up and if so I'll put it on.

Hurray! Am I remembering correctly that across the bottom montage, lights would illuminate alternately as if a ball was being thrown back and forth? I may be thinking of a later incarnation of this gable end.

Mind you, I'm always suspicious of flashing lights - they are sometimes caused by a pint or two too many
