Leeds Library Clock

Post by LS11 »

No idea how to post pictures or if you can, but saw this clock from the Leeds Library at the car boot today. Not sure of the age of it though….

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

It's a surprise to see a Potts clock at a car boot sale as such clocks (if genuine) must surely be valuable. I would have thought an auction house would be more likely a sale method. Assuming that it was sold I wonder for how much? As a piece of Leeds history it seems a shame that it was being sold at a car boot sale!

Not being familiar with the value of clocks and not wanting to rip myself off I didn’t enquire about the price. If I see it again I’ll ask, maybe I’m kicking myself at missing out on a bargain.
