I do remember the Guinness clock at the Corn Exchange was the most popular meeting place. on the half hour / hour in the evening there were couples meeting and quite a lot of both sexes being "Stood Up" either one of the couples had changed their mind, forgotten after Saturday or had a look from across the road and did not fancy what they saw. Happy Days.
