I was going through some of my old pictures last night, I found this shot I took from North Leeds in 2005 I forgot I had. With a little camera trickery I managed to make Emley moor transmitter dwarf Bridgewater place, You can even see the Royd moor wind turbines near Penistone, South Yorkshire 22 miles away. There's a bit of info on there you sky scraper and tall structures of Yorkshire fans might like at the bottom of the page. cheers.http://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn ... pool-leeds

My dad's cousin was working at the old Emley Moor mast when it fell down. Bit of a brown-trouser moment!

For anyone interested in tall buildings, Leeds or otherwise, try Skyscrapernews.com. Some good pictures of proposed structures along with heights, uses etc as well as buildings we already have. Take a look at Kite Tower, I'm not sure what I think about that one. I THINK I might have liked it???

Great photo mate, and well done with the camera trickery, looks superb.Just to show my age - I remember the previous mast at Emley moor coming down, I was only young (honest) and was at home in Huddersfield watching the telly with my parents when it suddenly lost its picture. From our house you could see the old mast about 15 miles away, and I remember my dad saying "can't see the lights on the mast, somethings not right" it was a clear night at the time and it wasn't until the following day when we found out what had happened.

Thanks Big N and Brandy.Well getting payed for a job you like i think is everyones goal isn't it? Getting those 6 numbers beats it of course If there's any offers out there I'm all ears!!Have you checked out the comparison shot without the zoom trickery? You can't even see Emley moor on it.http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/721876
