I dont know about you, but there's something fascinating about a demolition. Heres some pics I snapped of the former Yorkshire Chemicals Factory on Black Bull Street.I can't imagine what they'll build on the site now(!)More pictures here:http://www.flickr.com/photos/drapesy/se ... 061645392/

Whetever they build on here is going to be expensive as the site will have to be dug down a few meters due to ground contamination.

I'm assuming, in my sarcastic way, that it will be yet more 'designer' flats.

No doubt. Well we obviously don't have enough of them already. Rabbit hutches for £150k. Where would you buy a paper and a pint of milk though?

Nice one Drapsey. I must get a few shots of this Hunslet site before it's too late. I'm waiting for them to do the same with the Kirkstall road place. I've a huge collection of pics from inside there. It was quite surreal, We were capturing it on film for posterity, as the scrap metal thieves were plundering every last bit of metal only feet away. They even asked if they should move out of camera shot, well at least they were polite. I found some very interesting stuff in there as well. I'm going to do a 'rise & fall of a Yorkshire giant' history story about the place as soon as i get the demo shots. Here's a few i got in there.
