Ok chaps and chapesses, this is my first what and where.Might be easy, might be hard. The picture shows the 4th,and very shortlived, White Cloth Hall.It was built as replacement for the 3rd White cloth hall court which was demolished to make way for the railway viaduct through the Calls to what is now City Station. It was built in 1868,at the expense of the North Eastern Railway who had partially demolished the 3rd White Cloth Hall in 1865 for the aforementioned viaduct. The 4th hall lasted only until 1895,when falling use had led to its demise. The question is this, the "Cupola" in the picture stil exists on a current Leeds building, but which one?A search on the web will reveal its location, but obviously this is a cheap way out,and though you may solve this question by using the web then you have done so through someone elses research, and therefore you should feel a little cheap.I will give clues, but only if you need them.

Those who went to Dr Kevin Grady's lecture on Leeds Markets yesterday lunchtime will know it was on the King Street on the site of the Hotel Metropole... because the stone bell tower was re-used on the top of the hotel and is still there.
