I grew up very close to these places, I can remember when they extended them during the 1960's and took over some of the woods where we used to spend large amounts of our spare time - making dens and stuff.http://www.francisfrith.com/search/engl ... htmAnyways, I don't own a digital camera, so I cannot take any pictures, but there is a lot of concern by the local plod over the dangers that are present in this site to kids exploring, so I expect that the site will be made more secure. So that means there will not be too much time to get those pictures. I also think there is a distinct possibility some idiot will set fire to it too which means that the time that this will be stadning is uncertain. It would be a shame to let this hospital be pulled down without some recird, it was quite an innovation in its day, as the wards were not of the typpical Victorian high ceiling affairs such as the LGI.Effort was made to make the place more homely than most of its contemporaries, and this is something that most of the NHS has still to achieve.http://www.leedsteachinghospitals.com/p ... 3672872.jp

The night shots were taken one Saturday eve, we came across security who chatted with us once they knew we were only taking pics, they were telling us how they are constantly chasing the chav element away which is a damn shame they cannot leave anything, this was about less than a week after the place closed its doors!!!!I hope the idiots suffer radiation poisoning lol!!!!
