A view at the Whitehall Road/Northern Street junction, Leeds.

Anyone that has not been in the centre or near the centre of Leeds for many years may not recognise the area now with all of the major changes due to the construction that has finished or is going on in such as the Wellington Street/Whitehall Road area at or near where Central Station and its rail sidings used to be. This is a photo that I took on August 30 2018 of a view looking along Whitehall Road towards City Square (not in view) with Northern Street on the left. If I recall correctly a small part of Central Station occupied the area where the buildings are on Northern Street. What used to be the Great Northern Hotel/Wellesley Hotel is almost the last building in the rear (it now has apartments).
