Two great Leeds Industrial sites.

1. Scotland Mill
2. Foundry Mill

connected to two great engineers.

But alas I can find no pictures of them? There is a line drawing of Scotland mill in Don Coles adel & cookrige books, there was two close ups of a ruined foundry mill on Leodis but they seem to have disappeared (along with pics of horsforth Brickworks)

Any of the kind myriad of experts on here know of any images of part images of these buildings/site

Any one know why Leodis have pulled some great pics?

Though I knew of Scotland Mill I don't recall knowing of the Scotland Mill Cottages before. My initial thought was if they may be the row of the old Spring Hill Cottages that are still there but very much further up near Eastmoor. I shall have to keep an eye open for signs of remains of the Scotland Mill Cottages.

I shall have to keep an eye open for signs of remains of the Scotland Mill Cottages.

The remains of what looks like a toilet block/ outhouse is still there and also the housing for the mill wheel. If you're feeling adventurous there is also what looks like a cellar just near the water wheel housing.

Big big thanks, the foreground building is Bywater Farm

The angle of the picture is I think misleading as the mill is a distance behind in the valley dip.

Anyone got anything on Foundry Mill??
