I was telling someone yesterday that when the Corn Exchange was changed to shops and re-opened,it had a replica of the Wright brothers aeroplane suspended from the roof. This later vanished when they closed and refurbished it.
Anyone know where it went?
I assume it didn't fly away

Apparently according to Leodis it was acquired by the Yorkshire Air museum in 1999.

I remember seeing the plane in the Corn Exchange. The Air Museum is one of those places that I have kept meaning to visit ... but haven't.
Here is the new report from 2003.
