Hi,

Sorry that I don't have a photo of that peculiar fence but here it is:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.79346 ... YtaYoQ!2e0
Anyone know anything about that? Was is a part of a bigger structure? Was that have been a marking of the corridor for something. Is it suppose to make it that road island more beautiful (is not)?
Here it is, standing alone, four columns and fence-like steel sheet.
It's linked to the google map so easy for you all to know where it is.

I can't find any photos of the bridge, but I suspect the Timble Beck flowed under it on East Street

You are absolutely right. That is a was left from bridge over Timble Beck.
I did some research: http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... SPLAY=FULL
And here is overlay OS (blue) to old map and assumed location of the bridge (red).

And the steel sections of the bridge were made in the local Steander Foundry, presumably the one shown in the map above. Hopefully attached photo is of the makers name on the Timble Beck bridge, taken a few years ago.

I'm sure the FredK Dyson name is on a lot of ironwork around Leeds, can't remember if it is manholes or coal holes where you see it most.
