It's very depressing walking down Lady Lane. I know the area is due for redevelopment at some stage but it has looked so neglected for quite some time.
I took these photos around 11:30 a.m. on a then very sunny February 3 2015. The first is of Templar House that once was a Methodist Chapel. It has a decaying British Road Services sign for when it was used as that business (it had previously been an Unemployment Benefit Office). The second photo shows a view from Lady Lane of the Lyons Works. Visible here are two dedication plates, one on each side of the door. Both are marked laid February 1 1938. One is to Samuel Henry Lyons "Founded Alexandre Limited in 1907" and the other has the name Sophia Lyons. The third photo is of Circle House (Templar Place is off the left) that has the Buckle Cafe sign from when it was a sandwich and cafe premises probably not that long back.
