Fascinating! The branch in Calverley is listed. Calverley was an Urban District Council until 1923 when it was amalgamated into the Borough of Pudsey, so I wasn't sure that LICS would have been etablished in the vilage before then. What's even more surprising is that the map seems to show a branch in Idle, which at that stage was a village, and probably outside the Bradford City boundaries. But I would have thought http://secretleeds.com/posting.php?mode ... 3#Bradford Co-op to be the Society of choice there. BTW, my family's LICS Co-op number was 2194. But don't ask me what I was doing yesterday :?
