Good one Phil, last photo of the 3 , below the perfabs LHS. is right where the Queenswood social club is now plus Kirkstall Eddies cricket club below the club. The houses on Queenswood drive just above the treeline bottom center left are called Gunners row. Not sure of the history of them ,maybe for ex services men at one time. Where the perfabs start left hand side , the road to the left use to lead to the railway level crossing just above Headingley station also the signal box use to be at the crossing.

Right I've gone through the Leeds photos, I can only find these two photos of the Kirstall Lane, Abbey Road, Bridge Road, Wyther Lane, and Kirkstall railway station areas worth includingFull size photo herehttp://tinyurl.com/nedekqmThe Bridge Inn mentioned on Secret Leeds many times, and a favourite watering hole of some S.L users! Full size photo herehttp://tinyurl.com/ommhjwsI was always under the impression the station was on the other side of the bridge. Not sure what structure, or mound of earth is past the station in the field?Copyright jb303I've just had a quick look through the Bradford photos, the City Centre shots are far better than the Leeds ones. The plane flew right over the centre. I'll add a few here to get an idea of the detail, and also because I wouldn't mind some ideas what online websites, or other suitable places to donate them too. The plane also seemed to fly further out of Bradford than Leeds, Leeds seems to stop and turn to villages. Unlike Bradford that is smaller, the industry seemed to be spread out further. Places like Queensbury, Clayton, Great Horton, Apperley Bridge, Idle, Five Lane Ends, Esholt, Saltaire and Shipley are all covered.Full size photo herehttp://tinyurl.com/plxw82cOne of Bradford's famous Trolley buses can be seen. A great mode of transport of yesteryear, but now sadly an antiquated relic of days gone by. This Behemoth dinosaur thought to have been wiped out decades ago, rather surprisingly could once again be seen crawling around the Cave Capital of Neanderthal Old Leodis Full size photo herehttp://tinyurl.com/ofh9zzvFull size photo herehttp://tinyurl.com/pmegokbAny ideas where would be a good website to ask if they wanted to use these Bradford photos would be good

Would the Media Museum be interested? They did start out as the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television after all...Or Bradford Industrial Museum, given the focus on the industrial sites?

I believe he has his penthouse in Busman Towers around here somewhere      Indeed Phill, thank you very much for this one in particular and, give or take a few yards, it could easily have been taken from my balcony had such a projection and the Towers existed then !!

Phil, Sheds in the the photo of Kirkstall station most likely rhubarb sheds. Bit far from the triangle though LOL. But then I could be wrong its a long time ago since I hanged around that area , mostly on the canal.

Just had a look on the old O.S maps and it was there as far back as 1892 with a path to, and around it. There are only two maps with any writing on it, the writing is too small to make out though. raveydavey wrote: Would the Media Museum be interested? Thanks for that Ravey, I had thought of those places, but rather than the hassle of trying to e-mail off loads of photos, I'd have preferred to post them online like I have this Leeds set. Then it's far easier to just send the link to them to help themselves. Perhaps I'll set up a freebie flickr account and post them there to make it easy.Cheers

I've zoomed into those areas for a closer look. The 1954 map shows a Rugby ground, Cricket pitch, and Sports field. It was called The Clarence cricket and football ground.Full size photo herehttp://tinyurl.com/popx2quStill two rugby pitches there, but no stands or anything.
