SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

Does anybody know why this place closed and when? I know it was still active up until 2003 but I moved away from the area around then and didn't really notice it had gone until a couple of years later. I'm wondering if new legislation came into place regarding how far these depot's have to be from residential or business areas.

There is little, to nothing about the place on the net. I've looked before myself.
