My friend and I are looking at doing a photoshoot round Leeds in the next couple of days, and we're looking to find somewhere that's spooky, yet accessible to the public to take pictures. And this seemed like the perfect site to ask!Maybe an abandoned building or tunnels? Preferably one that's not haunted, haha! Does anyone have any suggestions of anywhere local? They will be much appreciated!

I suggest that a search of this forum (use the search facility on the forum home page), using keywords such as "tunnel", "abandoned" and "spooky" will lead you to numerous interesting discussions of such locations so that you can identify the best places for your photoshoot to fit your specific needs.Good luck

http://www.flickr.com/photos/jamesw-bel ... 6738140/In terms of very easy accessibility I suggest Former Woodside Dyeworks and the nearby quarry. Both are in advanced states of decay and worth photographing. Thanks - J

Kirkstall Abbey! I've seen it used for a few photo shoots and it's basically a public park so you don't need to worry about security guards asking what you're up to. For somewhere a bit more industrial, it might be worth contacting Armley Mills Industrial Museum. Also the site of Yorkshire Chemicals on Kirkstall Rd has just reopened as a car park so you might be able to ask the owners if you could borrow a corner when it's not too busy. There's a few other bits of dereliction along the canal, especially between the Royal Armouries and Thwaite Mills, but access might be tricky.

Lawnswood Cemetery. Some really old graves there with wonderful huge statues, (whatever they're called?).
