I was in Leeds on Saturday, & made a rather circuitous way back to the car (parked on Waterloo Street)Whilst passing through a passageway off Kirkgate into a small car-park, that's accessed off Crown Street (back of Corn Exchange), I looked towards my right & behind a low building there was (to) me a quite intriguing rooflineIt was a two-storey building, but only looked to be about 8-10 foot wide, with a very sharply pitched roof. Now I realise that I could have walked up Crown Street & around the buildings at the top & (possiby) into the yard there to look at it, but wanted to get back to car before ticket expiredIs it anything of relevance?, or just another well-hidden building that's still doing its job & thus not messed about withDigressing slightly; I was saddened to see that there's still no access into Lamberts Yard to look at the jettied building (quite reminscent of 'The Black Swan' in Wakefield)

Hi RichT. Could you be a bit more precise as to the whereabouts of the building, or perhaps pinpoint it on a map? Cheers.

I think it is the Assembly Rooms on Assembly Street (not to be confused with the old Assembly Cinema on New Briggate) and if so it was the Third White Cloth Hall (I've not cheated by Googling, so I may be wrong).

The assembly rooms were built in the 18thC and although not part of the cloth hall I don't think they are next to it or just built on land that was part of it.It was a gentleman's club style affair that had was also I think similar to what the Victoria Hall would become in the town hall

It's the brick building I'm querying, directly to the rear bumper of the green car, not the white shop/bar/whatever (that's badged as 'Rebop' on street-view
