I noticed for the first time last night that the top of the refurbished West Riding House now has colour changing strip lights round the top.I'm assuming its a very recent thing as I don't think I'm that unobservant. From what I saw last night it is somewhat "cheap and tacky" as there was plenty of flicker the colour changes were not smooth or subtle and unlike the lighting on bridgwater place and the old leeds pemananent building the colours are also somewhat brash. It also forms a rectangular band around the building whic looks like it might be a blank canvas for a ticker board a la New York's Times Square

Hi tyke bhoyI haven't yet seen those colour changing strip lights but I remembered there was a report about the West Riding House recently in the Yorkshire Evening Post (YEP) and I have found this link to that in the YEP website which may be of interest:- http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/l ... -1-5297268

Hope the lights don't bother the peregrine falcon who likes to sit up there & watch potential dinners flying past...
