SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

On my way home from work on my push bike I kept noticing these gate posts;http://goo.gl/maps/g2tsJCan see them better in aerial view;I thought it might have been an old farm track or gate into a field or something. But after a small amount of research I found out that it once was an old road leading from the old quarry (what is now round the back my old school, Scabby Abbey) to Headingley Bleach Works. Which once stood roughly where Haywoods now stands. You can follow the path of the old road for a few hundred meters, to where it comes to a stop where the school now stands. Joe

I love to see snippets of information like this about places which are largely unnoticed and have become part of the landscape but which were part of Leeds' past.

"the case of the missing photos" was nothing more than me being a plonker; I had a clear out of my pic host and deleted the wrong ones.. Many must literally and metaphorically lead to an interesting Secret Leeds story...
