This is a photo I took on July 26 2012 of a small stone structure that is in a field close to but (as far as I can tell) not where Scotland Mill was. If coming from the Ring Road it is in a field on the left shortly after where the path divides so that you can stay on that side or cross over Adel Beck. Unfortunately the field has a wire fence and will be private so I could not get a close look. There seems to be nothing marked there on old maps that I have seen and as I said it does not seem to be where Scotland Mill was (though I wonder if it may have had something to do with the Mill).

Probably just some old farm building I reckon, they're wouldn't be anything marked off on maps for that. Is it on the side where Dunstans farm is/was?

It's marked on google street view as 'the cottage' these dayshttp://goo.gl/maps/4tPGxAll those fields were farmland in days of old.

Cheers Phill. Yes it is on the same side as The Cottage (Dunstan Farm). There is a strangely shaped 4 sided field that has a large tree in the Google view and nearby very close to Scotland Wood is a small tree that I wonder if it might be the feature (it seems to have ? vehicle tracks at it). The Google view also shows what seems to be a telephone post and the photo does show what might be telephone wires which also suggests it may be that small tree.

From recollection there is a fairly high mill leat/goit/race to the left of that path (field side) which may then have 'dropped' onto the wheel giving good force? Parksider knows this neck of the Scotland Woods.
