Inspired by two threads - The Smyths Arms and the "Lemi" I have taken a few pics of what remains of the Cattle Market , between Gelderd Road and Whitehall Road.This is the wall on Gelderd Road.

Lik I said before about that wall, I'm sure there is a beasts head on it somewhere. Either that one or the one at the back. I remember seeing one years ago.

Here's the rest of the Gelderd Road wall. Enjoy this picture - I had to stand for 5 minutes in pouring rain waiting for a break in the traffic to get it!

The start of the wall on Whitehall Road - part has been demolished here - but you can still see the base of it.

Further along Whitehall Road - a close up to show the detail of this impressive 8foot high wall. They certainly didn't want them cows getting out! The walls now provide excellent security for the Winerite bonded wine and spirit warehousing that occupies the site - probably the only reason why they've survived
