Blimey! That looks quite futuristic for 1937 doesn't it? Poor old Black Prince looks like he's the surprise about to pop up from a birthday cake.

There are quite a number of instances when City Square, Briggate and Wellington Street were adorned in trimmings and regalia, check out on LeodisThis ones Briggate 1908

Looks like someone is a little touchy about there pictures being used - there is a note about copyright on the site as you'll have seen but, it does say for commercial purposes - and if we are commercial, my pay packet is missing for one!Even the general copyright laws allow material to be used for research purposes free of incumberance and I think we fall rather more into this category than anything else. Let us know if you land an extradition order for doing this Phill......
