Earlier today my oldest sister called for a chat and I decided to go through some old photos I had come across in me late mam n dads photo box, not been opened for nearly 20 years. The photo attached is of my 3 sisters taken in 1954 -55 just before I was born. My older sister, the one in the stripey dress in the photo, said she didn't know where it was taken but that it was in Leeds somewhere. I eventually, after quite a while, identified the location and thought the detectives amongst you might savour the challenge, then again, one of you canny thingamies will probably get it in 2 mins.Take a look.Billy.

It's a bit hard to do Billy without the photo!

Cheers, and there's not that many spaces to sit/stand around in. What's in the wire cage to the right of the bench?

Did litter bins used to be like the wire box thingy? if not i've no idea. What about the bollard thing just left of the bobby? would it be just a bollard or could there have been a police telephone in it?

Good puzzle but no match for this lot!I wondered whether the long shadows were of the war memorial but obviously not since it was moved to The Headrow in 1937. They must be some of the figures of Dr Hook or Priestley or the nymphs. But while searching about I came across these photos, which I don't think are on our bible, Leodis.http://www.roll-of-honour.com/Yorkshire/Leeds.htmlLook! Big picture of Majestic portico figure! [/myhobbyhorse]
