Does anyone know what the structure is on Woodhouse Ridge that people call the "50p" (although it has too many sides for a 50p)?Can anyone help?

It's the remains of the old bandstand. Woodhouse Ridge used to be fairly impressive formal gardens, not the semi-wilderness it is today. There is a very delapidated old storage room under the bandstand.I think the allotments below it are still referred to as the bandstand gardens. I've never heard it called the 50p before! It was quite a structure with cast iron pillars supporting an ornate roof. There are a couple of pictures of it on the leodis site. Someone has added a comment to one of the pictures saying that they used to call it the thre' penny bit. So at least it has moved on to decimal coinage now!
