Google Maps link:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... ltrendsYou should be able to see the square bit of raised earth. I pass it on the bus every day, and it seems to have a big square above-ground vent, and some steps going up to it. If I was driving, I'd stop to go have a closer look, but unfortunately I can't halt my trip to work when relying on public farce-sport Anybody know anything about this?

This was one of several small bunkers that were sold off by tender a few years back. They had mostly been built around time of the Cold War and were meant to hold a few people who would mainly monitor an area after any thing such as a nuclear strike. At the sale time I thought about bidding for the bunker here but I did not. I don't recall what it was sold for but I recall it was not that much. A bunker high up near Dent in the Dales was another sold at the time which though small inside was still big enough for a small group to stay for a day or two as there were no facilities. I think there were restictions as to what buyers could do with a bunker they bought.
