Ok, so its not quite a secret, its more a question about the history of the building. As you come up through Holbeck/off the M621, and turn right to go along Elland Rd, on your left theres City Evangelical Church. Now theres a new wall around the car park there, but just after the car park wall ends, theres a red, unused door, with the number 19 (I think) painted next to it. Now I know the whole building is the church now, but just wondering if anyone could shed any light onto what the number 19 relates to? I know the whole area around there has changed since the motorway was formed, and I remember seeing an old photo, suggesting that there once was a road that ran almost parrell to the church building itself (between where now Elland Rd is, and the church building itself is). Could anyone possibly know how the area once was, and if there was a house here? Possibly a church warden or something? Cheers

According to the old maps that part of the church used to be the Sunday School.

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Ive often wondered what the area looked like before the construction of the motorway. That part of the building defantly used to be the Sunday School, as above the door on Malvern Rd/STreet (forget which it is) it says Sunday School. But the door I'm talking about is on the other side, under what I persume was the school hall.
