I'm sure there was a Kodak factory either on or near Harehills lane, perhaps the A64 - seem to remember it from the late 80's when it was closed and derelict and in trouble with the Council for leaving cyanide laced stuff around, when the building was open and abused.Anyone else? Or am I going bonkers?

The company that became Rank Optics was originally Kershaw and their brand name for film projectors was "Kalee" Is that what's being remembered?

If anyone wants to search, we've talked about this at length in other threads. The likelihood that any (remote) chance of contamination not being addressed is unlikely. Recent Environmental Agency requirements have also led to the identifying of areas of land needing attention and this area was not included.

No, Agfa was built as Howson Crabtree then becoming Dupont and laterbecoming the now almost redundant Agfa, built on the Coal Road in the 80's or so.This replaced the old cratree building over the way on the Ring Road Estate, a little beyond which was the Kodak building.
