Talking of the weather causing a problem I thought I would post this photo that I took on March 21 2013 from inside the centre that officially opened that day. The view is looking towards Albion Place (in the rear) and is on what in the past used to be part of Trinity Street that ran from Commercial Street to Boar Lane (closed I think in the 1960s). The only recently accessible bit in the view was the very short length that remained of Trinity Street next to Trinity House and Marks & Spencer that joined Commercial Street (the white building on the left is Trinity House).The connection with the weather is that the access/egress point at that old bit of Trinity Street is exposed to the weather and it was quite wet well into the centre. I wonder if that area will have doors installed at some stage?

I wonder if that area will have doors installed at some stage?     I've wondered this before, but are parts of the new Trinity Centre actually public rights of way? Until the redevelopment started you could walk through the previous arcades, etc 24/7 with no bars to access.That said, the design of the development does lend itself to having doors or gates fitted at some point and you can't help but wonder of the design has been deliberately engineered this way to allow for the fitment of these at some future point. However, the bars / restaurants and cinema are likely to be big nighttime draws, so when would the centre "close" if they were added?

There are gates on the Briggate side at least as they were down for quite a bit whilst they were doing the latter part of the works. It's no surprise as it could end up like Merrion until they fitted the shutter/ gate things.

The Trinity Project webcam that I have mentioned earlier in this thread seems to have ended being updated, as the last image update was on May 10 2013. It may of course just be down and not noticed, but I wonder if with there being no longer any obvious external changes that the webcam has simply been left showing its final image. For interest I have attached a copy of that current (and possibly final) image.

I noticed this bracket in the pic attached to the side of the Virgin Shop on Bank Street, now part of one of the approaches to Trinity I've tried to see if there was a pub or anything at the corner of Bank Street and Little Cross Street which would explain the type of bracket you see but no luck. Any ideas anyone? It does appear to be relatively new or recently refurbished. Sorry it's a little dark, sun was in the wrong place!

Hiya LS1That intrigued me so I've looked at Google Maps and found that the bracket seems to have had a Nationwide Building Society sign there, as seen in the image that should be brought up through this link to a Google Maps image dated 2008:- http://goo.gl/maps/OBTqRI have looked at a photo that I took on September 9 2011 and the bracket without a sign can just be made out at what was then a Virgin Media store. What I also find very interesting in your photo is that the street sign for the long gone Little Cross Street is still there, as I don't recall noticing it before despite being around there fairly often! PS. The pesky Sun often gets in the way of photos that I would like to take. That and people blocking the view, wheelie bins, delivery vans, cars!         

I agree - people mainly!Wonder if it pre-dates that though - there is a photo on Leodis showing the Nationwide Anglia and I think I can see it there. Just wondered of it was newer or older.

I thought it might be of interest to post the Trinity Project webcam images that I saved that were taken on today's date (December 2nd) in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
