I had an aunt named Ellen Toft and she also lived in the Burmantofts area, but I don't think she had anything to do with the clinics.

I've certainly heard of Ellertofts and when I saw the thread I immediately recalled Ellertofts as being associated with Burmantofts. It's interesting therfore that there seems to be no information other than what you have found. Very odd! I'm wondering now how I knew of Ellertofts? Edit added much later. How's this for a possible answer?The annual reports for the LBWA are mentioned in the sitehttp://www.historytoherstory.org.uk/subject.php?id=103and West Yorks Archives.Looking at an image of one of the reports it shows branches at Ellerby road and St peter's sq -New burmantofts..did these 2 branches close and open at a new site in Argyle Avenuetaking the new name incorporating both old site names.That what Jimmy's did with the Becklin Wing.

There's a Bramstan Avenue off Leeds-Bradford Road, just on the Bramley-Stanningley border, oddly enough.

I'm wondering now how I knew of Ellertofts?     I had a recollection today of why I knew of Ellertofts. My mum used to donate blood and I have her record card that the small 'Certificate of Blood Donation' given for each donation were kept. Her card only has 2 certificates though she would have given more. The oldest certificate of the 2 is dated 1st July 1957 and records that she gave blood at Ellertofts. The other is dated 27 Jan 1958 and records that she gave at Leeds.
