http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... .8Possible surface shelter or agricultural buildings? I’ve driven past these two buildings recently and saw the concrete roof and bricks, looks 30's to 50s. Possibly surface shelters though semirural loation would lean towards pig shed.

This is pure speculation, but they look a lot like ARP office/stores I've seen pictures of elsewhere, the style of contruction certainly makes them look like wartime buildings.

Have a look at the Burley Wood ones (others too) on Leodis and they look very similar.Definately think you have two shelters there.

We've covered the one in Calverley (Carr Road) on here before, but can't remember where. Chameleon might be able to find the thread?

Thanks I'd never have found that. I always wondered what that building was for but never thought it was an air raid shelter.
