Something odd is going on with these.Took a walk out earlier today and noticed that the two pillars at the bottom entrance near to the junction with cardigen road and burley road have been sliced clean through the middle, and the top half of one of them is on its side on the ground covered in hazard tape. First thought was that some sort of large vehicle had hit them or something and cracked them right across. Then i came back the other way and on the larger entrance between Burley Park station and Burley St Mathias School all of the pillars there have been sliced across the middle too. Really clean, straight cuts, like it's been done with some sort of tooling rather than by yobs.I guess there must be a rational explanation for this?

I noticed it on Friday morning about 08.30.Only the left pillar was down at this time.(bottom end of park) Was OK on Thursday morning.Noticed a lot of lcc vehicles over the last few days entering the park.

Only the left one was down today, all of the others have been sliced through but the top half is still on top of the bottom half!

Haven't seen them myself but a colleague suggests heavy duty vandalism has toppled them at their joints, whish would be clean cut - could they have cleaned out the joints on the others to re-grout as a maintenance job maybe???? Anyone get a picture?

Not yet and i'm gonna be at work today. That might be the case, i never realised they were built sectionally but i guess they could just always have been covered in too much crud to notice.
