I'm sorry if this has been covered before - I've had a search and can't find anything.In the early nineties my boyfriend at the time worked for Watson and Cairns Cycle shop down lower Briggate. While he worked there I remember some great excitement due to something that was found on the front (I think) of the building during some repairs.I think it was a statue or a craving of some kind maybe of an angel but not necessarily. I think it even got into the Y.E.P (in the days when that was something to be proud about he he)I just can't remember what it was. Everytime I go past the place I look up tp see if I can see what all the fuss was about but I can't see anything.Does anyone know what it was and if it's been moved?Thanks if anyone can help, or most likely post the link to the thread on here that covers it totally (doh - I have looked I promise)
