Anyone remember goin gint here during the Saturday morning shop? It was in the alley between Vicar lane and Kirkgate Yorkshire Bank. They sold bacon, bread and coffee. The smells were wonderful. It's not a faily standard sandwich bar int he old market. The smells will never leave me.

There must be loads of little shops like that which we just need a nudge to make us remember them.

Anyone remember a small but very well respected business which occupied the upstairs of a building in Great George Street, just behind the Town Hall ??. A green and red neon sign proclaimed "GLADYS M. ATKINSON - Invisible repairs." She did a lot of work for the insurance companies, repairing damage to clothes - damage which had always happend "accidentally" of course
