SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

I understand there was a underground tunnel between the Palace Pub & Leeds Parish Church. Does any one know if its still there or filled in, & what was the tunnel used for?

I posted a bit about it on another thread somewhere. The passage just ran from the Palace to the river. It was a private home belonging to a rich timber & boat building merchant originally. He had a landscaped garden that stretched down to the river. He had it built to not spoil his garden. You can clearly see the bricked up entrance from the river. I'll dig out the pic again sometime tommorow
