Hi!I live on the top floor of a high rise block and a few years ago the mobile phone companies started using our block as a 'ready built phone mast' to mount their antennae on. It seems the council is profitting from this practice as I have noticed mobile phone masts on quite a few tower blocks and council owned structures. There are about 15 different masts serving various companies now on my roof, gawd knows what damage its doing to my health! Anyway I wanted to know if anybody knows what goes on with these masts, in particular there is a cabin on the roof which contains equipment relating to the masts and mobile phone networks. I believe it is called a base station cabin or something. I'd like to know what the cabin looks like inside as after trawling the internet I have only been able to find pictures of the cabins exteriors and not the interior. The cabins can range from cabinet size to several square metres in size and I understand the majority of the cabins are occupied by switching equipment but I would be interested to know what it all looks like as I have one of these things less than 10 yards from my head yet dont know what is inside. Any advice / pics are gratefull received and acknowledged!Johnny
