A great big thanks to Tasa who kindly arranged and accompanied me to an access all areas night visit of St Bartholomew's church in Armley. I'll post the link of the material we got on the night if anyone wants a look. There's the famous organ, spire panorama's included. I think the church is having an organ recital this coming Sunday that Tasa might want to add some more info about. Sunday's recital is at 4.00pm, by Elli Glarou, consisting of a programme of music by Marcel Dupré, composer and organist of St-Sulpice church in Paris (now made infamous by the Da Vinci Code) from 1934 till his death in 1971. The recital will last about an hour and admission is free of charge. There will be opportunities before and after the recital to have a look around the church (but the tower and organ will not be accessible!).

Well done, guys! Nice shots once again, Phill. I always wanted to see inside that church, as it can be seen for miles around.

excellent work once again phill & tasa,i just hope you both escaped without getting fined a tenner for tampering with the vicars organ loloooooooo err missus! PS/ that pic of the reredos is nothing short of stunning mate you should be well proud.

Thanks Brandy - my tenner is safe! I've known this church for years but it was my first visit up the tower and I've seen the building and organ with new eyes thanks to the quality of Phill's photos.

Unfortunately the tall chimneys don't exist any more (demolished when they became unsafe), but Phill will add the contemporary view to the set.

I won't comment on the organ tampering thing lol I've just added the Meanwood towers pics to the St Barts set now as well.
