Just noticed this weekend that there's a large bunker of some kind near the cemetery on Harehills Lane. Does anyone know what it is?

Don't know of any bunkers round there - you don't mean opposite Hillcrest House between Harehills Lane and the park do you?Partially hidden by the old YWA building till they pulled it down, is a very large underground (partly) reservoir of many years standing.

The Yorkshire Water building shown in front is no more.

I was a kid around there in the early 60`s, i remember the covered reservoir very well and there definately were some air raid shelters there, we used to play in them. Behind the reservoir there were piles of pipes of all sizes, we used think they were tunnels and spent hours crawling through them, what an adventure!!!
