In Alan Bennett's book "Untold Stories" he tells of a ginnel in Armley running up the side of Pasture View from Stanningley Road to Theaker Lane.Does anyone know it?

I believe its still there - it runs along the back of some 'blind back' terraces

Saw today, Alan Bennett speaking of Leeds, the sentiments of many here:'He said: "So many of the truly monumental buildings there used to be in the city centre have gone now. Leeds always felt like it was always in too much of a rush to get into the future and pulling some of these buildings down, well, it was just vandalism really. Sadly 20 years later they realised that, but by then it was too late.@They called it a vission for Leeds in the 70's saying 'Leeds Leads'

(problem is the time between conception of a project and its completion - things always seem to change diffeently to expectations somehow)
