Does anyone have any information or history on the bramley fall lodge? For as long as i can remember the house has been borded up and has recently sold in an auction but I have never seen any sign of life there

I used to see cars parked there when I was younger, and I'm not that old, I wouldnt want to live there though not with all the 'lovely' local folke that ran riot in the woods.
I'll be back (arnie)

It's funny, we passed there yest and I said to my hubby that it was such a waste of a lovely little house! I didn't know it had been sold at auction! Let's hope that someone restores it.

Might be nice with a large fence around it and a few rottweilers on patrol, on a night you can hardly see it in the darkness. I will try get more pictures sometime. I would love to see inside,

The latter of which is also currently boarded up though.
Change is inevitable, but never from a vending machine!

Ah you mean like how stanningley park has that big house at the entrance. I figured it was possibly a gate keepers house originally. I wonder if anything will happen now that it has been sold by auction - however that was a couple of months ago and nothing so far

I don't know what will happen to the one at Bramley fall park though. Lets hope they keep it as it would make a nice house! LCC do still have some in use, the one in pudsey park for instance is used as a house now, but some get sold off.

I;m really surprised due to its location that somebody hasnt managed to get in. You would not even know it was there when it is dark and I dont think anyone would try and stop you even if you bashed the metal off the opening with an axe!

The lodge in Armley Park was sold about 5 years ago, and someone extended it to create a huge house about three times the size (though keeping in character with the original building to some extent). It's now up for sale again, probably with a large price tag!

There is a new sign up at the lodge today saying "acquired by" and then the name of a company. Something might be happening soon?
