for the person wanting to know about the Sugarwell etc.I have resurrected this thread which may be of interest.

As I remember it the spring was on your left as you came down the hill towards Sugar Well Mount, around the entrance to the field just before the Mount. I have marked it on the attached aerial shot. I think the farm is owned by the same family that had it when I was a child, so they should be able to tell you where the spring is now.I used to play there regularly in the early-mid 60's as we often used to go that way to visit relatives. I can also remember seeing rags tied to the trees around there and my mam telling me it was a Holy Well. Oddly to my young mind, when we went to my relatives in Ireland there was a similar Holy Well near there also and that used to have rags tied to the surrounding trees as well.
