Hi Tony,I realise that we are along way off the original topic here, but I, too, played at Bramley Old Boys for around three seasons in about 1968/69/70. In fact, at times, I played in the same team as you. Amongst others, I also played with Billy Hargreaves, Geoff Hargreaves, Norman Butler, Carl Medcalf, Granville Dufton, Granville Wright, Barry Longley, Dave Nesham, Mick Daley, Dave Wood, Steve Page, Harry Broxholme, Jim Quimby, Ronnie Leggett, Alan Turner, Mick Hardaker, Ronnie Fenton, Barry Wright, Geoff Boris, Barry Langton, Graham Heptonstall, Johnny Popplewell, Charlie Osborne, Norman Wiles and many others. I am sure that you will remember them all and many more, as, like most of them, you were at the club for a very long time. I was only there for a short time but played against Bramley (for Moortown RUFC) from 1961 until 1977.Ian.

Any Old Centralians out there? It's time we started writing our place in the history book - especially since some politically correct creep in the Council has tried to erase us from it by putting only a City of Leeds School heritage plaque on the old building, not a Leeds Central High School one.

The Leeds Civic Trust are responsible for the Plaques Bert, why not a stern enquiry to them for their reasons?

Hi Sundowner(I see you still use Your P.D.B handle.)I worked on the counter at R.P.T. 85-90 and just before You left to sell lace for your brother in law , you flogged Me that superstar 360 and a York 40fm. You suggested going up to a carpark just outside fylingdales early warning station to dx abroad. All that succeded in doing was to bring out an helicopter from said establishment to monitor what Me and My mate were doing!!!To cut a long story short on the way home we called at the Happy Eater on the A64 I bought a coffee for the mother hen who was sheperding a gang of lasses out on a works do,(who My mate tried to chat up.. no joy ha!!) three months later wedding bells. You also got Me into metal detecting but thats another tale. From one old structure to another thanks pal!!! regards Kango

Another Centralian (65-72)here! I agree wholeheartedly, lets face it once "...Our Alma Mater dear" had changed its name it lost lots of its kudos don't you think. It does however get some "nice" comments earlier in the thread.
