Hi there, Chameleon! As a former head of a Seacroft school, I was given the information by a local Seacroft councillor. This was probably around 2004.

Thanks for that, I've not found anything documented yet. I'm afraid though that the local Councilors are not particularly pro-active over listed buildings - some find it quite difficult even to forward promised updates and developments on such mattersI wonder if there is a chance I may know of you from your real (former!) life

This is because people do not always list the schools with their proper full name. Those listed were:Blenheim County PrimaryBlenheim County SecondaryBlenheim InfantsBlenheim JuniorBlenheim PrimaryBlenheim Walk was located from 15a Blackman Lane to 182 Woodhouse Lane. The other school, which was nearby, was the City High School, Leeds, which was situated at 21 Blenheim Terrace. This was directly opposite Leeds University. I am not certain but I believe that when the school closed, the premises were used as Austick's University Book Shop. The school was a private, fee paying, school. The uniform was green with a yellow 'banana' on the cap. I had friends who went there and also my cousin.Ian. hi ive just been looking through this thread and noticed this above. my dad attended blenhiem school on blackman lane. in 1940/early 50's colin jones was my dad would like to hear from anyone who remebers him

My first school was Saville Green, (just off York Road). it was pulled down in the 1950s, in the York Road slum clearance area, it was next door to a Catholic primary school (St Patrick's ?), and we used to have snowball fights with the inmates, (sorry pupils) until the penguins (Nuns) came fluttering out and stopped them.
