For reasons I won't go into now there are no pictures in existence of me as a child. I am hoping that those of you who happened to be at school with me might possess class photographs with me on. If you attended any of the following schools (yes we moved about quite a bit!) during the times I attended and you are willing to upload any class photos I would be really grateful.Wykebeck School 1963-67Ingram Road and Low Road 67-68St Hilda's 68-69Thoresby High 69-73I did ask Education Leeds if school photos were archived but sadly they are not.So with fingers crossed - thanks!

There are some photos of Ingram Road School on Friends Reunited, one at least of a trip to Malham in 1967. Why not take a look?

Although my high school, Cross Green, (refuse to call it Copperfields) is still standing, its no longer a school. Good memories of both, albeit alongtime ago - left XGreen in 1979. Good schools both although in there last years they started to decline; thats the reason why I don't like the reference to Copperfields. i left in 82',cross green it will always be!!

There are only 10 types of people in the world -those who understand binary, and those that don't.

It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!

I was looking on Friendsreunited and there are some photos taken in January (2009)that show Cross Green School in the process of being demolished (Copperfields later I believe). It was quite sad to see. All my schools have gone under the bulldozer now.(My apologies if it has been mentioned elsewhere)

Does anyone know where that school was? Sandford school was just off Broad Lane ( near to the old Sandford pub ), it changed to Sandford Middle School, then to Sandford Primary School. It was demolished a few years ago to make way for a brand new school called Hollybush Primary. The new school was built on the playing fields of the old Sandford school and the playing fields for the new school are where the old school used to be. The only remaining bit is the caretakers house.     The other school in the area that was demolished was The Benjamin Gott High School just off Lenhurst Ave, LS5. they closed wyther park primary and sandford primary down in order to merge them both with the new school on the site which is now called hollybush primary.....i went 2 sandford primary school in the 90's and recall the headteacher to be miss kitson. a few ov the other teachers were mr & mrs dawson, mr seed, and miss white
