We probably have our winner then. It will have changed hands a few times and varied it's product range but it looks like tobacco based products have been sold from the premises for 130 years+. There will be very few buildings within Jim's definition of the city centre that are that old.

Nash's Fish & Chips has been mentioned in this topic so I thought these 2 photos I took on September 19 2023 might be of interest. The first is a Leeds Civic Trust Blue Plaque commemorating something I was not aware of and the second is a view of part of the short road (comprising 51 A, B, C and D New Briggate) that comes off New Briggate on which Nash's is at 51C.
