I was expecting it to be something other than a large shadow like area. I think it looks like a cat!

While following the line of the Roman road across the Chevin on old maps, I came across this feature, marked as a "pillar" on the 1890 map, and as a "stone" on the 1910 one. It is visible on Google Earth. The dotted line shows the Roman road.The "pillar" is south of the Royalty pub, roughly two thirds of the way to Carlton Lane.Does anyone know what it is?
